Never 'death by powerpoint'

We always provide a variety of learning approaches in each of our workshops.

Each workshop typically includes learning input from the trainer, supported by a range of mixed media, interactive elements, discussion and group work. Most workshops also include case work and practical skill-development activities to apply the learning, with more time dedicated to this in the longer courses.

'Want more?' resource pack

In addition to providing a copy of any slide deck, we always provide a ‘want more’ section, of curated resources including book summaries, podcasts, downloads and articles.

Negotiation Skills Training (courses) Frequently Asked Quesitons

What is negotiation?

Essentially it's a discussion, based on trade and bargaining, that to be successful leads to a 'win-win' outcome.

What if the other person is a better negotiator than me?

That will be due to any combination of better skills, tactics and experience - all of which you can be good at too - and these training courses will help you with all 3 of these ingredients.

What's the single most important skill of a negotiator?

Probably the ability to separate means and ends. You should be clear about the outcome you want, but be prepared to be flexible about how you get there.

Which of your three negotiation skills trainingcourses would be best for me to take?

That depends: the 90-minute course provides an overview of what negotiation is and its key features, plus what it takes to be successful; the half day builds on this by providing an opportunity to practice key skills and using the negotiation matrix; the full day then concentrates on using key skills and tactics in real time scenarios.
